Hello
Ive had Blueyonder CM for 2 weeks now after swtiching from Cableinet ISP/Diamond supra 56e modem.I was pinging at about 160 on all servers with 56k connection with a steady connection.
The only online game I play is TFC on Wireplay,Barrysworld,BY and UKTFCL servers.
Initially I pinged at 20-50 on Wireplay open and Barrysworld with the wireplay Clan servers pinging at 100 and UKTFCL servers virtually unplayable.
This week however the high ping on wireplay has been eradicated which indicates that some improvements has been made by someone/somewhere!
Overall I think I have made to correct choice in getting Cable modem as my ping is much lower but I do get the occasional unplayable server which didnt happen before.
On line gaming aside, surfing and downloading are obviuosly now a lot quicker.

Yep I'd go along with Istabraq on this. I got my BY CM installed just before Christmas. D/L of 40-50k majority of the time (there are still some USA routing issues which mean d/l from USA can be a bit slow sometimes). I was getting a bit edgy last week, as clan practices on TFC clan servers were suddenly giving pings of 150-250 and jerky as hell. However (crosses fingers), the last week or so has been sweet and I ping about 30-40 most of the time on all servers.

It seems that Blueyonder/Telewest have had a few probs with getting their infrastructure up and running and some people have had difficulties (check their status page and you'll see daily issues affecting certain users and some routing issues which to be fair don't always seem to be directly attritubable to BY). But I am, overall, really pleased with the service and couldnt go back to modem.

When the engineer installs it and you see the first d/l at 40-50k you cant help but :cheese:

Had mine installed 27th December, so far aside from the badly implemented upgrades (partly BY partly there peering partners) I give it a humungous thumbs up :E

Best ping I've had so far was Sunday with 18 on UT to a Demon server and there was no PL either, It's good to be called a LPB cheating bastid... :naughty:

cm sux, ive had it about 3 months! it goes from medium quality to perfect, to total poo <ping spikes of 1500 every few seconds, last week i have 80% pl! but today and yesterday its been near perfect :) up to u but a 56k modem is more reliable, nowhere near as good performance tho

remember if you're going to leave the computer on a lot with the modem on you should get a firewall such as ZoneAlarm (http://www.zonealarm.com) (it's free for personall use and works well).

P.S. Cable r0xx3r j00 ;)
