TV win Theatre?

I am concidering getting a Hauppauge Win TV Theatre . Are they any good? how good is the picture quality and how do i conenct my speakers to it. I all ready have a sb live 1024 with 4 speakers but do i have to by more for the TV card or can i use the speakers connected to the sound card some how?

does any one now of a place that sells it for cheaper than £92.

I have this tv card and same sound card, and how it connects to sound is rubbish....

Basically u get a wire out the back to link back into sound card (line in).....or you can use a internal connection to the AUX port on ur SBlive...this carries the front left and right.

Then u get a mono front center channel out the back as a photo plug and 2 other mono photo plugs which carry suround 1 & 2 (identicle sound..but can be used as rear left and right)

Then in the soft you can select virtual dolby (2 speakers making it sound like dolby) or combinations of left and right with center or surrounds......

So....i think what u'll want to do is link it internally with a CD-ROM audio cable (find out the colour of the connector from the hauppauge site in there FAQ (possibly green)) then setup a amp, which u can use the left channel for rear and right for centre front(as pro logic is only mono rear)and run those mono plugs into amp and onto speakers.......

GOT THAT...lol...well when i got it i didn't understand it so....i hope u can make some sense of this........

i had a wintv PCI nicam stereo card, and the picture was terrible, no amount of fiddling would get the picture right,
there not a patch on the ATI TV cards, but you've got to have an ati card for them to work

UsediLLusioN....i dunno what ur on about m8...mine worked fine with my old STB nVidia TNT 16MB, and now with my sparkle Geforce 2 MX 32MB......um...and the picture is fine for me....u just need a good anntenia (spelling).....in full screen it seems to slightly higher definition that my normal TV....sound link up is a prob...would be so much easier if it could be done through software.....like Powerdvd pics up SB live 4 speaker mode....but then....some don't have a SB live...
