Hiya,

Not really sure if this is the right forum to ask this but I can't think of a better one :E

Okay, my auntie has just bought a tiny pc for far too much money. When the bios is in full swing and the system check comes up (straight after the ram count), the screen switches to a tiny logo, so I can't see all the details. It's not the startup screen btw, that comes after.

SO, is there any way of getting rid of the annoying tiny screen please?

I don't really want to phone the expensive tiny helpline, because from my previous experience with it, they don't know much anyway.

Thanks,

Eric :sailor:

Hmm a strange one, there is probably some keys you can press to get rid of it, have you tried the obvious like esacpe?

If not try looking in the manuals that came with the PC to see if there is anything.

You could always try emailing them....

The image you see is a bitmap stored in the BIOS. Its quite common these days, I think all Award BIOS's have this now. My Advent had one and my mates Compaq also does. There is a utility for add/removing these pictures. It came on the mainboards driver/utility CD that came with my PC. I'm not sure if it's specific to each BIOS (probably is) so you might need a version from the mainboard/BIOS vendors web site or your mainboards driver CD if you got one. Anyway. the one I have is called 'EZlogo'.
