mmm interesting. having read Uprisings commentary however and his point that wireplay isn't there as a link as it won't mean anything to new users (fair point)- I'd like to point out this: "Play Games" and "live games"

WTF, its pointed out that an outside consultancy was brought in, hundreds of meetings, user feedback etc... for this??!! So that of the three main top navigation options: two of them are extremely confusing??!

Ok play games: fair enuff

but who thought of "play games" or "live games"!! These are completely counter intuitive and user obstructive- very worrying when its such a top level of navigation.

One thing however.. at last a menu where you can flick throught the entire site.. about time.

just a quick first response.. I still can't believe that top level navigation guys... absolutely mad...

Actually until Wednesday there was a button saying 'Wireplay'. However, if you just turned up on the site you wouldn't know that Wireplay allowed you to play games online. Hence the change...

Play Games I understand - but Live Games (which I assume means 'live' as in 'live your life') is way too confusing - I thought it meant 'Live' as in 'Live online now'.

Community instead of 'Live Games' would be a lot less confusing.

Was reading thru this and thought 'community' would make a more understandable button label. Then skunk said it. :)

I think it would be better, any takers?

I agree communtiy is better. It was going to be 'talk games' but we'll diocuss it in the office and it'll be made into something more obvious.

n1.. yeah community is far better.

one thing though.. should "play games" be on such a high level of navigation?

As far as I can see it is the technical slant of wireplay.. server news.. how to etc...

so maybe

online gaming: technical
-server updates.. technical news how to play each game.. list of games, updates, mods etc... plus lal the help sections on setting up etc...

online gaming: community - all the stuff there already

dunno just a thought.. and I'm thinking slow today :(

btw ladders?? ;)
