Hi,
Has anyone used both 'intellimouse optical' & 'intellimouse Explorer Optical'?
Theres a difference of £10 between the two, is the extra cash worth it?
The Explorer is easier to hold, but I've heard it's bad for games, is this true?
Although I already own the intellimouse, it's not very comfortable to hold. I still might be able to exchange it for the Explorer.
Cheers.

Dude, you are the mean'ist...!!!
I wouldn't normally do this, but I needed an answer in a hurry, one hour to be precise.
By spreading the question to the most popular forums, was the only way to achieve this.

- This one : ZERO, which I might add was totally YOUR fault. You scared off potential repliers!
Anyway, you can remove this stuff if you want, people less fussy than you have answered my question. Cheers to them.
soz, I thought you had maybe posted in the wrong forum by mistake - happens if you have a few windows open at once. I thought you may get a better response in the hardware forum so I offered to move it, if you wanted, so you wouldn't have to type it out again. I wasn't aware you had cross posted...
I can only apologise for trying to be helpful.... ;(
anyway
I've used the normal intelimouse explorer with the wheel and the intellimouse explorer optical. It takes a bit of getting used to but the optical one is generraly a big improvement, expecially those two extra buttons - really useful in FPS games..
It's worth the extra 10 quid or so.. :)

Cheers Reality, I was feeling a little sarcastic before...so sorriez for any offence.
After seeing the replies, I exchanged the mouse...already I can 'feel' the difference in Counter-Strike!
I have the optical and it is a damn fine mouse. I bought it because I read the explorer isnt as good for games.
If u play a lot of games I would go for the optical.

xdp32....uuuh...23...
I bought the Intellimouse Optical too...it's a decent rodent. But then I tried the Explorer and it felt more comfortable.

I read the same which is why I went for the optical, but now that I've got the Explorer, trust me...it's better!
It's down to personal preference of course, sadly you can't benchmark mice like GFX Cards!
P.S. The Optical can beat the Explorer on looks, Any Day!!!

Bah....The explorer owns big time, don't bother with the girly mouse! Get the Explorer, it's w33t for games and loads better than the optical...well woth the extra £10!
