i tried to join a half-life tf game and got a message 'this server is using a newer protocol(39) than your client(43).
check for updates to your client'.contacted my isp-ntlworld
no help.whats it mean & can you help.

You need to download the latest patch for halflife so that it's running the same version as the server. You can download it from http://www.filemonster.com
