Pilot name "Jet Engine" spotted in 1v1, game room 1, this afternoon , was this a hacked plane ?
He was removed very, very quickly :) by an ARRU (Admin Rapid Response Unit)
I was there with my Ginger Lacey tag, with one of my Gypsy Pirates, and then some geek called sexy Simon came in :E (no password on these 1v1 arenas)
Is Jet Engine a known offender?

Tell me about it m8... I was trying to have a 1v1 with Master of Bloodshed the other day, and first 'Glass' came in, flew between us and ruined the fight... ( he left when we asked him though ), Then some dweeb called Southpark came in and flew strait at us... And after about 5 minutes of explaining and no response, he attacked MOB... We then went to another arena where MOB told me that he thought it was only the GE AA that had idiots in it.

Ok guys, i work in the Live Help Rooms as a Gamepro and over the last few nights we`ve had ppl coming in from aa complaining about this guy Jet Engine using some sort of cheat for aa, there were a few other name mentioned but his is the main name cropping up. I enjoy aa as well as the next honest gameplayer but ppl like this spoiling the game by cheating is not on, many of the complaints were about not being able to find the admin guys easily,i know u guys have a busy time but so do we in the live help rooms and theres nothing we as Gamepro`s can do but pass on the messages. Lets keep cheating out of the arenas ppl.

Thanks m8, on this occassion i dont think Jet Engines wheels got a chance to touch the deck :E
We "can" find the admins when urgent needs dictate, be assured :)

I'm not going to get drawn on this, and I will say it just once. I'm not going to talk about policy, or details; that's not my place.
We are aware of cheats. They will not be tolerated. HOWEVER, I for one will not take immediate action on the say so of another pilot, or even an arena full of pilots. That would not be fair, and only leads to mob rule. All complaints are noted, and then INVESTIGATED. Just because an admin does not take action as soon as someone makes a complaint, it does not mean they are doing nothing. Filling the arena with moans and complaints about nothing happening (ie teams tonight, where two admins were struggling to sort through flooded comms) achieves nothing; at best it makes an admins life harder, and at worst it can be VERY counter-productive (work it out!!).
That's all.
:)

With all due respect, and with many thanks for your help, the details of the admins are fully available on the club wesbite (under admins) and there have been at least two online all day and this evening. In addition, the details of the admins have been posted on here numerous times.
In the case of Mr Jet Engine, a complaint was received by an AA admin and within 15 minutes the offender was removed from the arena.
I suggest that Gamepro's like your good self direct people to the clubsite detailing the contact ICQ numbers of the admins, or make a note of them yourselves to contact us as well, if so inclined.
I have to say that the amount of effort the current admin team have put in over the last 6 months, and most notably over the last 2 months, is way beyond the call of duty. Literally *hundreds* of people have been warned/removed/suspended during this time, making the place cleaner and more enjoyable for the majority.
I can assure everyone that we are doing everything within out power to keep anyone causing offence, or cheating (which is an extremely rare occurence anyway) away from this game.
No offence intended Cheetah, but I hope you understand that we are working flat out and being rather succesful too.
If you want to discuss this further with me to work out a plan should you as a Gamepro be further inundated with worried gamers, details are in the sig. I'm keen to help.
Ta.

I'm sure both Gamepro's and admins both have a busy time at work...and when admins finish their paid job (or sometimes while they are doing their paid job), they log on and do this voluntarily!
Anyway, having completed 14 hours online today, with tools open, and ICQ and IRC open (OK, I took time off to say hello to my daughter when she came home, and to give her a kiss goodnight), I'm off to bed!
(And for those who are wondering, yes, I have seen another side to the coin in the last 48 hours!!)

Some good points there Luke and well put as usual :)
TBH i didnt notice Jet Engine till someone else in the arena did, i was too involved in my friendly game with my 1v1 m8 (SHOKi), even the guys who came into the 1v1 game room were ok, one even asked if we minded him joining, which we didnt.
Anyways thanks fer the effort, and lets hope Jet Engine has now lost its spark :)
Jet Engine was in the teams arena last night and i was there, i also saw this, wouldnt of believed it if i didnt see it for my self. I passed all info to Sonic who is sorting it :)
But yeah, he was travelling at around 700+ and smoking , he out ran my 109 whilst he was flying horrizontal and i was diving on him.
Made me laugh though as the way he cheated, so blatently in open and obvious he was. Stupid? think so, as Admins removed him shortly after :E
Everyone in the aa community has done a great job to keep out cheaters, tbh ive NEVER seen cheating on aa until the other night :/ but that is dealt with and i can sleep at night ;)

i was in FFA the other night as BHWoD in a spit..
got into a dogfight with a pilot in a hurri, i got a good eight or so hits, mainly wing but a few fuselage, which is enough to cripple a hurri (even more so than before i hit them!) yet they still outlooped me (hurri's can't loop?!) and proceded to pull off hanging style.. got me thinking but dismissed it...?
and no, i wasn't recording, it was 2:30am
