Hi,

As the subject says...I have a Cable Modem from BY. But it's almost time for my 'quarterly' harddisk format and re-install of WinMe.

Basically, when I install WinMe will there be any problems setting up the modem? As far as I remember, I just set a couple of options to LAN.

Has anyone done this? If so, could you please remind me which settings need to be changed.

you just need to install your nic and set tcp/ip to get ip automatically.

I done mine a couple of weeks ago. I didn't have to adjust any settings it was running ok as soon as windows ME finished installing

I'll give it a go tommorrow.

P.S. Anyone tried it with Linux? I'm gonna try dual-booting with Mandrake 7.2
If anyones interested, I'll post the results.
