The one thing that annoys me about this mod the most is...

Ok.
I downloaded DoD a couple of days after it was released and realised that this is a fantastic mod. a couple of tiny bugs, but they will get fixed in the next releases, wont they? ;(
Everything seems to be great and it isnt far off what CS is now... which is also great.
What I get annoyed about though, is the fact that little munchkins are running around saying that this mod is far greater than CS was in beta 1.
This is obvious, because CS never had anything to compare itself to and never had anything to help it on its way.
OK maybe TFC :P
DoD is really great but it has a lot of CS in it, and dont deny it :)
little things like the voice commands...this isnt ripping it off but DoD didnt have to think about it too much before they decided that it was an essential part of play.
I am in no way saying this game sucks as i think its great, but why oh why must these people be so ignorant?

depends on the context i suppose ... but i agree with you, just that there is a differnce between someone saying this beta 1 is better than the cs beta 1 because of the reasons you gave ..they have learnt from the other games around etc.. and saying this game is better than beta 1 of CS because the CS team are crap.

Personally i believe it's better than CS beta 1 because of games like CS having solved a lot of the problems already so they have a bigger sheet to work from for dod, this is a good thing and shouldn't be used to put other mods down ... people will always say they prefer one game to the other but i don't think people really need to say that the others are rubbish just because they don't like them ...

ok, maybe 'ignorance' was a little harsh, yet, you have to admit that DoD has had a large advantage over the beta battle (thats what people make it :D ).
We'll just have to wait & see what happens...
