help with 127 getting awaiting gamestate and no further.

plz help
compleatly remove all of quake3 + ra3 restart pc
right defragmented c drive then ran scan disc and repaired errors. restart pc

install q3a restart pc
install ra3 restart pc
install 127g restart pc
install 127h restart pc
unziped ra314clsrv_beta copy and paste to \quake3 arena.
unziped osp99q copy and paste to \quake3 arena.
load q3 set up controls etc
enter cd key, exit and check is in baseq3 yep

load wp browser and try to join ra3
awaiting gamestate

then box :quake3
x this programe has performed an illeagl opertion and will be shut down
if the problem persists,contact the program vendor.

i hit details:
quake3 caused an invalid page fault in modula quake.exe at 0177:00412be6.
registers:
eax= loads of numbers and letters \/then bytes at cs:eip then load more numbers and letters.

after reading this and head hurting clicked on close
up popped another box:

click ok takes me back to desk top but desk top very bright need to load quake and exit to restore desktop or restart pc.

that is EXACTLY what I get, but it only happens when I attempt to connect to an RA3 arena - not sure if I have that version of it, but it sure as hell shouldn't crash my PC turning the PC screen into a very GAMMERED bright level.

anything else works fine, but the game server I get into for just a few seconds, drops out

I have had similar problems when I first upgraded, most of which I found solutions to on this page:

A guy named Sar is answering as many problems as he can on there and solutions to many problems can be found on this thread. :E

Also, with the Rocket Arena patch you unzipped, it must go into the Rocket Arena folder and not into the Quake3 folder!!!
I had the same prob as I unzipped it into the 'Quake 3 Arena' folder and not into the 'arena' folder.
The patch will be something like 'c:\quake iii arena\arena' not just 'c:\quake iii arena' as 'arena' is the actual Rocket Arena folder whereas 'quake iii arena' is obviously just your base Quake 3 folder. So there. :)
