last night from about 11pm i was unable to access a lot of american sites (and unable to log into UO, because the login server is in the states), i've heard a lot of other people with NTL had the same problem :(

Anyone here have problems?

They are having trouble with their DNS server as well as the ongoing transparent cache problems...

We are currently experiencing a problem with the Primary DNS Server
194.168.4.100. This keeps timing out causing requests to queue at the local
inktomi server.

This will result in no/slow web throughput and you may experience a delay to
your request

A temporary fix has been put in to place to resolve this, though our
engineers are working to put a permanent fix in place

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause

Yer it's a been a bit crap for a while now. I got a bit annoyed today so am using the bt cache and web browsing seems ok. Earlier I was getting slow web browsing and then short periods of no activity. Pings to game servers have been good.

hmm
i rang up ntl yesterday and got the reply "there are not any problems in your area" then spent 30 minutes running through various tests.

/is slightly peeved that they didn't tell him this straight off.
