this could be a good map if one thing was change (its a good map already i can almost snipe now :) ) the germans can call in air strikes !!!!!
why do the germans have this ability to call in strikes on the beaches.
The allies had a naval fleet and air superiority over theg ermans and still the allies dont have the power to call a strike on the cliff face and wipe out a few of those snipers.
now the luftwafer only flew 310 sortes the day of the invasion and only 12 of these were bombings of the beaches. where as the allies flew over 10,000 that day
the Axis U-boats only took out 1 supply ship as a sort of token aperance.
ok i read the readme for the map and it calls it a mortar attack but still allies should have the return of an airstrike or naval bombardment. (just that we wont fall short and hit our own landing craft ala the americans and their rocket assult)
so should the axis ont be able to cal for support but the allies instead . a airstrike killig thouse outside the bukners and then allies rushing up would be better.
So then why dont

Its supposed to be a artillery strike
And one thing the germans did have at the normandy beaches was the 88
one of the best pieces of anti tank anti personal guns ever made

was the 88 not a anti aircraft weapon that they found out was good at anti tank ?
just one question is this game going for a 100% realism of WW2 or a bit of arcade thrown in ?

There was a 88mm anti tank gun and a 88mm flak cannon
both could be used against tanksw and even through the width of the round was the same they were different shells.
Much like the 88mm turret on a tiger was different to a 88mm on a king tiger

Duck down by the fence, look up, then jump.
Press crouch before u jump over.
Still can't do it... I think my bloke has a weight problem or summit cos he can't jump very high....
crouch jump going forward its easy
any old cs players remember the ground floor windows on cs_mansion? same technique.
jump, then less than 1/4 second later press crouch, while going forward

You can go prone on the sea bed in whihc you stick to the sea bed :) but i think that allies should have a little air strike to use cos it would make it a bit more even cos ive never seen more than 2 allies make it up top at any time cos the snipers strip em out.

Even with no bugs this map is just plain wank ...
Utah 3 looks like it could be the best beach storming map ... if only the WP bods would get their finger out and put it on the server ...
Speaking of which, why the hell is there still only one server ... get rid of one FLF and HL DM sevrer and use them for DoD ... they are never full ...
some little childish antics you exspect to see in CS have croped up in FLF which has slowed it down
:( but they are all full at the weekend :)
Fact is with 1 server we wil have no custom maps on it. until we get a second server we will be able to have maps i would have though. think about it you just getthe game and want to to play but you cant get on the server (whats new) but its not cos its full its cos you just dont have the map ... what i just downloaded 70mb to find i need to download more maps OMG im not playing this then. and the mod gets left for a few weeks or just forgoten about until the next realease cos poor modemers dont like wasteing time downloading for 3 hours :(
