i got a cable modem 512 kb
and i use sygate 3.0 for internet sharing, we got 2 pc's.
browsing goes ok, but when i try to get the to pc's in a server (Unreal tournament) we both get a ping of 10.000!
and when one of us leaves, the ping drops back to 120

i'm not sure if just my connection can't handle it or that i need to use an other internet sharing prog? or that my setting of sygate or not corect

does anyone know how i can fix this problem?
thx :)

I used to use sygate for my home network but it seemed really unstable, tbh the best one i've found is winme home networking, hasn't crashed once and my flatmate and I get 25-30 pings to WP

To use winME networking I would have thought you would need winME. Cant just take the bits of an OS you like, unfortunatly.

yes you can use winme home internet sharing, you'll need a machine with winme on it, doesn't have to be yours...

Go to the home networking wizard and somewhere in there you find an option to make a home networking disk which can be uysed to configure 95 or 98

use that..
