peeps with adsl or no bout it question bout lights

ok my adsl lite stays on constantly bu the usb lite flickers whenever im dl or loading a large web page is this ok!!!

prolly just the activity light...so long as theres no smoke comming out the back then yeah....its fine

the usb light flickering is caused by a number of things:

a) download, where the USB connection is being used by the adsl software for updates and configuration settings defined to the adsl connection
b) changes in USB activity between adsl data and usb data handling
c) the usb light sometimes remains unlit even when both the above are in operation, but this is purely the way in which the driver [1.3R is available for Alcatel right now] works and it's to do with the splitting process between usb and the adsl transmission from the exchange
d) usb is transmitting in one direction [from the PC>>adsl modem] and therefore intermittancy will occur. adsl is transmitting in both [exchange]. as long as the adsl light is steady - you're fine - whatever the usb light is doing, ignore it, it doesn't matter [well, as long as the adsl light is working that is]
