Wiiija - read this [all ADSL users too]

Wiiija recommended to me these config settings for Q3 [including CM users]:

seta cl_packetdup "1"
seta cl_maxpackets "30"
seta snaps "100"
seta rate "25000"

I dropped from a base 50-60 ping to 30-50 no matter how many were on the WP server. So I then tried this because it was spiking a red line every now and then:

seta cl_packetdup "1"
seta cl_maxpackets "30"
seta snaps "60"
seta rate "10000"

Try this my ADSL broadband friends as I experienced:

22-40 ping [2-8 players at the moment tested]

This is no bull****. I swear on my life. Pick a server... any server with any number of players and watch those numbers stay way, way down

Nice1!!!! I'll try the other settings you recommend in a mo,I'm pinging wireplay very well atm 26-29 havent gone over that yet :o

I'll post my results with the other settings soon.

You can only look at it, but it tastes just as good
