View Full Version : A Bold New Spam (™)

To move forward, we must no longer look to the past. We must make new rules for ourselves and apply them as if they were traditions handed down for generations.

We must abandon the old spam.

It no longer has a home here. We must look to the future, to a whole new spam. No longer will single smilie posts be tolerated. No more will the forums ring to the giddy laughter of someone having a conversation with themselves.

We need a new spam... a bold new spam (™).

I see a new vision for spam. In this vision we abandon the false gods of Single Smilies and one word posts... We post much, and we post often. Write each post as if it were the only one you ever do... give it substance. Make it witty. If you're so inclined give it a 'Sixth Sense' style twist. Make people want to read it.

Make me proud.

7k + of posts in less than a year leaves little enough time for a life as it is.

You might kill people like Sar if you make them post mulitple lines of wordy prose every time.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm..................

.............Sounds like a plan stan!!!!1111!!!

would be so much easier if velvet or mut or someone put Sar's post count to 10k

Oh, my master :monkee: God. Just say the word and we will take forth this new spam and spread it unto the masses, and if they refuse, then we will rage a holy war against the heathen horde. Jihad is coming to Gameplay :E

You had a dream Grumpy and you should follow that dream!!

I try to make a point of dismissing most of my dreams as soon as I wake up in the mornings... I don't think I could afford the lawyers fees if I 'followed' most of my dreams ;)

No, I aggree with grumpy totaly on this one. There are far too many one word/single smiley replies going around - they do not enhance the thread, and are there purely to raise post counts (Something I have never gone in for, as you can see frm my low count). It makes the forum far more entertaining to read.

Testify!

yeah, you can't just post a single smilie...

you've got to write 3 or 4 words/letters so that it is just about no spam :E

I'd warn you against that. It gets you noticed by people like me who're just looking for an excuse to exercise the 'delete' command and aren't that fussy about the reasons why :P

Oh, and 1.37am is about the best time to be on the forums :)

After the night I had last night (worked until 4am, got to sleep 6am, woke 4pm :hmph: ) I'm debating not bothering at all - but I doubt I'd keep going until 10pm tonight :{
