Ok sorry for all the religoes folks out there i honestly have nothing against you, I myself am a born again Atheist, possibly bought on by being force fed religeon from a very early age.
One question that no one has been able to answer me is this :-
if your Wife came home and said Look luv sit down i have some wonderfull news, Im going to have a baby and then goes on to explain that the reason she is pregnant is nothing to do with the 'Jerusalem a gogo' Kareoke bar but is in fact due to divine intervention, would you beleive a word of it ?
:E I've always thought that, y'know. The bible was just a story 'cause Mary got knocked up by some strapping Roman soldier... I can't believe Joseph bought it. Loser :)

Perhaps it was the Arch Angel Gabriel that knocked her up..
Perhaps the Arch Angel Gabriel was a Roman Soldier... :trooper:
Maybe the Archangel Gabriel was a stormtrooper... :trooper:
Which would make God :vader: Darth Vader, which makes Jesus :luke: Luke Skywalker, which makes Judas Escariot (or whatever) :fett: Boba Fett, and Peter's Han Solo, Matthew's Chewbacca... and... that's probably better than the plot for 'Star Wars Episode II' is gonna be. :E

I think we should all treat this subject with the sensitivity it deserves.
Tolerance of others beliefs should be paramount, whether we feel ourselves to be religious or not. Therefore talk of Mary being "knocked up", and drawing comparisons to Darth Vader and God, will only agitate others.
Air Attack is a welcome diversion from the horrors and stress of the 'real' world, where take other players at face value. We don't assume their race or colour when we make virtual contact.
Please let's drop this subject of religion from our predudice-free game.

Personally, I have always wondered how someone who can feed five thousand people with a couple of loaves and a few fish never went into the fast food business!
To quote some of Fu11's little gems in that huge great thread...
i also respect those who don't know they're in the wrong line of worship
i'd love them more if they knew the Truth and the right way
millions upon millions of Christians surely cannot be wrong? if there were only a few, then yes, it could be questioned, but the sheer scale of this, cannot be dismissed forthwith
Now, the first of those is so irritating as to be untrue. Patronising, smug, self-opinionated... The others are just as bad. My post here (the Star Wars bit) was made after I read through the above in that other thread. Were it not for the unbelievable contempt that some members of the God-squad have displayed I probably wouldn't have posted it. So... tough.
Although yes - I advocate the dropping of religion as a topic from this whole board, 'cause it's just going to go on, and on, and on... Matches will turn into "Athiest and Agnostics go SU first half, GE second and Christians go GB and US".
As I said in the other thread, I respect the beliefs of others. I don't object to anyone holding any particular beliefs, and whilst I may say that I don't agree with them, I will never dismiss them as wrong, seeing as how I don't know.
Now, if Fu11 et al would kindly do the same to athiests, agnostics and non-Christians...
