Well,
great film as always (got Tom Hanks in afteral, prob my favour actor).

I've never really heard of Apollo 13 b4 i saw the movie, so i thought i'd see how true to life the film was, see if it was Holywood c.r.a.p. Found a bit on the nasa site and WHOA! Its got official pictures taken on-board of the CO2 scrubber they made (identical to film), the damage to the burner is the same. The sequence of events is the same (they got the whole official story) and even some of the conversation is the same (mission logs).

I was mighty impressed, seems hollywood aren't PURE evil :)

I rather liked Apollo 13... Didn't watch it again tonight, but I reckon it's accurate, well done and not over-dramatised. Grrrreat!

It's a good film. It shows that Hollywood can get it right, but only if they really want to.

I can remember it at the time. The film is very close to historical fact.

Hollywood didn't have to put an American in this story cos they was all Yanks to start with. If Hollywood made "The Yuri Gagarin Story" it would be a different matter.

I'll go with the flow, one of the few good blockbuster films to come out in the last few years.

What they don't tell you is that Apollo 13 was a British spacecraft, that Jim Lovell was from Manchester, and that the explosion was caused by American friendly fire in Vietnam :E
