I knew "The Weekest Link" was competition for "Who Wants to be Rich as Owt" but by them changing times to 8:30 just proves it.

I think the beeb didn't realise what a "hit" (I can't stand it) they had on their hands until recently... hence the move to BBC1. I guess putting it up against 'Millionaire' makes sense in the big ratings-run world that is terrestrial TV :|

the ironic thing is that both shows are getting tired now and it would be a much better move to show them less , to preserve their qualities rather than keep showing them
