My best mate had a Sony DVP335 or 6 (can't remember) bought for him as a chrimbo present by his fiance from Dixons so obviously it isn't chipped and he can't borrow any of my DVD's as the whole collection is R1

We had a look around at sending it off but the shipping seems to add to the cost quite a bit which he can't afford so... does anyone know of a shop or company in the London/Kent area that does mod chipping that you can walk into?

Calzor m8, you have to be careful to get a 'proper' mod for the latest Sony machines. Some of the cheaper solutions disable certain functions and more importantly are not RCE compatible. My advice would be to bite the bullet and goto somewhere reliable on the net like http://www.upgradeheaven.co.uk If you go over to http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk I think there is a discount token called 'Modify your player for 50 quid' (I think the Sony mod is a bit more than that) or something, for them which may save you a couple of quid on the job. (It's a bit secret though, that discount so Mum's the word!! ;) )

HTH.

Thanks :)
I thought it might come to this and he'd have to pay more for it, oh well :E

Oh and Mums the word
