I think McLaren F1 for top speed but I'm not so sure on acceleration :)

This is what I got from old issues of Top Gear magazine (new there was a reason why I kept them!):

Merc Clk-GTR 0-60 3.8, 200 mph
Lister storm 0-60 4.1, 200 mph
Jag 220 0-60 3.6, 213 mph

So the Mclaren takes it with:

Mclaren F1 0-60 3.2 seconds, 230 mph

I knew all those old issues would come in handy one day (nothing to do with my laziness of not wanting to bother throwing anything out :) )

I hate to keep going on about the Corrado's (I will stop, honest), but this thread just reminded me of a seriously modded one. It belongs to an Austrian who works for VW in Wolfsburg and has just about every conceivable tweak you could think of, including a Porsche GT1 Turbo. The car's been recorded on VW's test track as going 202mph!

It's currently throwing out 482bhp and that's not enough for him, so he's planning to rip off the turbo and install a twin turbo bringing his expected power up to 650bhp!

Oh yeah, not including the purchase price, he's spent over £40,000 on it so far...

Yeah its made by Top Secret heres a piece that someone wrote about it.




We give Top Secret the "Best Way To Get Publicity and Attention Award", for showing a videotape which contained footage of the president of Top Secret taking their Gold colored Supra to England, and going over 200mph on the highway. Featured at Top Secret's booth was a large television sceen, on which a tape was played that showed the president of the company in England, doing huge burn-outs all over the place, including the highway. Yes, these guys got in their Supra, were driving on the freeway late at night when there was no traffic, came to a complete stop, (this was a rather large and usually busy looking highway mind you), and did a giant bunout. Then they proceeded to accelerate to 190mph+. They went back and forth until they topped 200mph. The tape ended with cartoons showing the president being stopped and arrested by local English law enforcement, along with actual pictures of the jail that they took him to. Yes, Top Secret now has a case pending in Europe, for showing their ass in their Supra monster car. What a way to get attention. In any case, however, Top Secret proved that they are no joke when it comes to modifying their cars, and they are willing to prove their capabilities at just about any cost. Note: The president of Top Secret was taken to jail! The Supra they were in is highly modified and the president is a highly skilled driver whose been in the industry for a long time. As they say "Don't try this at home". We do not support breaking the law, we're just here to give you the story (and sell you the parts).

Actually, the fastest accelerating (0-60) road legal car is prolly a WRC car, or something similar :) I do know that Martin Schanche's old Escort Mk3 rallycross car could do 0-60 in 2.8 secs :eek:

id be prepared to be in the garage every day then getting the fooker fixed, they might be quick but the more performance you try to get out of an engine, the worse the reliability :(
