Since grumpy became a mod, half a dozen threads have been closed, and countless posts have been edited!
I for one will no longer stand for this blantent abuse of power!

No, Grumpy's descissions have all been fair. He may be the last one to post on most of the threads but his posts are not, in my view, spam.
Spam, to me anyway, is single word replies or single smileys. Keep up the work Grumpy, you're making TP & GC a more entertaining place. :E
...and saving the rest of us over-worked mods fromhaving to do anything.

Half a dozen threads closed? As far as I can see three threads were closed since my move to 'the dark side'... and one of them I wasn't responsible for. Countless posts edited? I'd hardly say 'countless'. Point out which ones - I'll show you the justification I had for doing so :P

Am I? Or am I just posting lots? There's not rule against that, and it certainly isn't spam as there's something there to read, rather than just an irrelevant comment or smilie.

So what's the big deal with staying up all night. I don't understand why everyone is making such a big fuss about it.
I say let grumpy do his job, and wait for him to make a real mistake, then we can pounce on him and beat him solidly with a very large blunt stick :E

mr_grumpy_man as part of a team of moderators has all the rights to manage messages as he sees fit for the greater enjoyment of the members here. It’s actually a heavy responsibility, as he has to set standards both here, (and elsewhere if he goes visiting) because he holds a title which reflects on this place, the other moderators and the owners of these forums.
Certainly it is true that people new to the role can become OTT, but his seniors who are more experienced will decide on those issues when and if they occur. But as far as I'm concerned MGM has shown wit, interest, and insomnia, all of which are vital qualities :E
I wish mr_grumpy_man my best wishes on his new role, and that he finds it as enjoyable as it can be. But I reserve the right to be cheeky to him too!!! :shakin: :cheese:

One who uses this forum does so to make test posts. After which other forum members may give feedback on their opinions of the siggy, thereby turning it into a general chat.
This does not warrent the thread being closed grumpehh.

As I said... every sig test thread is not an opportunity for spammage. The threads in particular were being filled with irrelevance...
Asking of every sig test "did it work" does not constitute a decent post.
Additionally, this isn't a forum for passing comment on people's signatures. People can ask for advice/help in making sigs, yes.
And finally... I can't help noticing you're nothing to do with either post... so why are you making an issue of them? You don't gain anything by them being open - or are you looking for a reason to complain about me? :{

For example - that post there was pure spam. I know for a fact WicKeD has made a test post quite recently... but for some reason feels the need to post another one in a thread that is quite clearly not somewhere to do test posts :|
