Criterion version of Robocop (Reg 1)

If you can still find this disc anywhere go buy it. Lots of extras with extended scenes that were deemed too violent for the U.S. Notably Murphys death and the Ed209 going bonkers in the office have been extended.

Damn fine disc all round but its been discontinued so get it while you can.

I'd be surprised if the Director's Cut of Robocop was out of print for very long. While the Criterion audio commentary might not pass over to whoever picks up the license next the film itself in its entirety will. Given that, despite the price, the Criterion disc failed to deliver a 5.1 soundtrack and also failed to include a lot of deleted scenes which have (ironically enough) been shown on TV in the States, I'd say Robocop still awaits a definitive DVD.
