AM i the only person who is finding the weekend s a drag!, im using BT Internet dialing their 0800 number for free calls.
if i try and download anything im lucky if i get a speed better than 1.25 kb /per sec
somtimes its as low as .56 kb unless its 4 am in the morning then i can get my 5.35 kb /per sec . Anyone else having probs with BT! and forget playing games !

You ain't alone there m8. :( BTI is giving everyone pants pings this weekend (999 in Q2 for me last nite). Totally unplayable - go to Wireplay Direct is my suggestion. Yeah, I know, you are paying for BT so why pay for other phone calls...... do what I did, phone BTI Billing (0345 776666 - option 4) and demand that they either reimburse you for you phone calls (they won't do that) or let you have next month free.

I haven't had to pay for months (and rightly so). My latest freebie expires at the end of next month and if I have not seen a substantial improvement by then - as they promise - then I will vote with my feet and join another ISP. I suggest you do the same m8. That drastic move will be much easier as Wireview 3 will be out by then and we can connect from any ISP then. http://forums.gameplay.com/ubb/teeth.gif

Just one thing - complaining here is pointless and will achieve nothing. However, in my view it's worth doing these posts so we are warning prospective BTI punters (try to stick to one thread though dudes). ;)

I also have isdn and btfree, iplayed a game of q2 at 10am and had a very good ping of 50-70. 10pm at night...what a joke 700-1500 ping, i'm actually going to ring the bugger up on monday and cancel my account. It's no good emailing or phoning em and complaining you got to vote with you pocket m8 and explain to them why you are stopping your account.

Thet will regret the day they lost my £11.99 a month :)

You're not! Its an 0800 number and hence doesn't even show up on your bill!

Try Wireplay Direct and cancel your BTI subs or use the normal BTInternet number.

Not really all that true velvet m8, cos you're still paying 11.99 a month. Which is alright if all you want to do is browse or download in the weekend (just over £3 a week for 48 hours is alright if you can stay awake all 48 hrs) but if you want to play games, its a bit less useful. Well, a lot less useful, because the pings make everything unplayable.

So it may not be free, but its good value if you just want to browse, but if you want to play its a tad rubbish.

It's only worth joining BTI if you sit in IRC all weekend, not if you want to play games or download stuff. Tho u can D/L stuff over night.
