on 3d mark 2000 i got a score of 7450 on the defualt bench mark test.
is this ok or not
i got told with abit more tweaking i could get it higher.
so can u help please:)
thx
where do you test your PC with this benchmark?
I just got a new PC and waswondering too
Mozza
err at my house
when i got home :)
just installed Windows DX8 DX media
installed all me games and sh!t and then got 3d mark 2000 of a cover disk
lol
:)
IS there anywhere i can D/L it from?
D/L from http://www.madonion.com or find it on just about any PC Gamer magazine cover disk.
BTW, thats a V.good score, but you could get quite a bit higher with that spec. Get Geforce Tweak and the latest drivers for your mainboard and GFX card. Don't forget to visit http://www.geforcefaq.com.

I would hope you could tweak that up Westie, cos I get 6800 on my setup (PIII800, GF2GTS, 128Mb). Your kit costs a lot more than mine so I would hope you get a bit more from it :)
well i have a TB-1GHz also.
128 ram
Abit KT7 mobo
133Mhz ram @ 100
GeForce2 GTS 64mb
mine crashes in direct3d also in opengl although rarely
and i get 7198 in 3dMark2000
although im only getting this cwappy score cus i have Major Cheapo ram *suppossed* to be 133 but when i try and run it at this it doesnt even boot up.. locks up on 98 piccy
anyways...

me is starting to feel good about me loverly little system :E
Seems my upgrades were good vfm :)
Well m8s, I got 1G AMD with Gforce 2 GTS, 256mb PC133 and my 3D Mark score hangs around 7000 to 7145, I think it is about right.
Those results are about right
Im getting 7100ish from:
P3 1Gig
256mb
Geforce2 64mb
From what i've seen the ultra doesnt give much better results than a geforce2 64mb on standard 1024*768*32
Try 1600*1200*32 thats when ur gonna get much better results than other systems

I get 7100 marks on an 866 P3 with 64Mb Geforce GTS with 384Mb of ram so your score is about right for your system. U can tweak about 500+ marks if u OC that card but why bother, your system can handle all that is thrown at it!!!
i feel so very gutted cos i have a:
amd k6-2 450
98mg
geforce 2 mx, and i ran the benchmark on 3dmark and was gutted to see a score of 2083, surely that is poor for my system
someone please tell me somethin possitive

T.T.B ok m8
Were gettin close to the weekend. Hows that? :E
Check your motherboard drivers, and make sure ur getting 4x AGP (assuming your mb supports it) as u should be getting 3000-3500 with that setup maybe more. Compare your results on mad onion with simlair systems (remember alot of peeps overclock, so they might be a bit higher)

In response to TTB and I apologise for going off the original thread but I've got
AMD K6II-500
128MB PC100
64MB Hercules Prophet GTS2 Pro
GigaByte GA5AX Mobo 2xAGP max speed 550MHZ
And the best I get is 2300
This is because the processor is holding EVERYTHING back.
Get a faster processor and your Gefore MX will perform much better.
I'm upgrading soon...I hope....

Indeedy... the CPU is very important, it's not just the graphics card that improves graphics. When I plugged my GF2 into my PII450 system I got 3800 3DMarks, but when I then added a PIII800 CPU it jumped up to 6800, that's a healthy jump.
So if you have a GF2 card but still running an older style CPU then look at upgrading that next. It can be simple an inexpensive if you just buy what can plug into you're existing board (like I did, hence the PIII) rather than having to replace the whole monty.
Well I get 3003 with Duron 650 @850 64 mb ram and Voodoo 3 2000 @ 180 mhz...
So in the great words of monty python, to all you high scoring gits out there "I fart in your general direction"
:E :) :E
Piglet.........
3dMark = 8003
1.2 Tbird
GF2 Ultra
256 133mhz CAS2 ram
KT7-RAID
That was using 1024x768x16.
I had to disable fast writes to get the card running stable in D3D.
