Each pics is about 80k casue I forgot to resize em :P
Best map Ive done so far, but still a fps killer somewhere so will probably never see the light of day. Cant find it and rebuilt loads of times. Oh well, another one for scrap book.
Gonna finish it anyway, and give it a test and see what happens...

Reminds me of a cross between that Tomb Raider level (can you "drive" the boat?) and that early AS map, as_river or something similar.
Looks good to me, although you might want to make the buildings a little more interesting, e.g. gutters, doorways, window boxes
But only if you can sort out your r_speed problems- try running your in software mode, and type in console "r_draworder 1" (or 0) to let the game engine show you exactly what it's drawing. By doing this, you can see what is causing bad r_speeds in different areas, and hopefully fix it.

r_speeds are pretty good throughout. one spot is upto 600-700 which if I can find the fps killer I'll redo but most are between 150-350.
I'll give r_draworder a shot but I'm not sure it isnt a buggered texture Ive included...
that fifth screenshot looks absolutely brilliant, texturing is excellent and so is the layout of the area...
keep up the good work mate :E

I'm not copying it, its my own and I can map about what ever I want wether someone has already done a map of that name or not. Name means nothin..

Actually no-one has done a map of the same name that I can find.. :)
There is a as_venice on FP by Xavier but thats its. So If its not that one thats at least one more to add to your list of peeps to tell...
Its quite a nice little map but completely different so I have no worries about anyone thinkin I copied it :)
Some textures are quite nice though :E
If there is another one then let me know where I can get it casue I'd like to have a look at that one to....

Pic 5 looks like the r_speed git to me, perhaps you could devide the areas up a bit more (or is there a worse area?).
Is the fence running around the outside a sprite?

i been messing around with WC3.3 cos i wanted to make a map for DoD...
I'm basing it around a bridge, that one team has to blow up and others defend...
so far, i've made the bridge, which still needs stuff adding to it...

Ive completely changed round piccy 5, the market place...
About 4/5 hrs from finishing the whole map.. Just messin about with lighting and sortin textures, makin .wad of textures used etc.... then Ill post it up :)
