A poor service

Why when i connect to wireplay direct do i get a poor connection and ping when playing cs. If i use ic24 or connect through gamespy i get a much better ping???????

you don't mention what modem you are using, whether you have checked manufacturers site for up dated drivers, or even if it is a modem. isdn?
