Hi
Peeps, I'm helping my girlfiend to buy a new PC for work. It has to come from a well established company, as if the PC goes bottoms up and the company is a pain then she may get hassle from work.
She has about a grand to work with. What companies would you recommend, I remember people saying good things about mesh a year or so ago.
Any thoughts...
Cheers for any help you can give.
Its just for work yeh??
Buy branded get a Fujtsu-Siemens or Dell, the Fujitus-Siemens are cheaper, very stable and come with a 3 year onsite warranty, she should be able to get a PIII800 with that kinda money. The Dells are slightly better spec but have a longer waiting time, expensive delivery and support not so good.
Rite ive convinced myself buy Fujitsu-Siemens if its just a office/internet PC she needs :E
Dont buy COMPAQ,HP or IBM (there servers are nice tho)!!!
i reckon she could get an advent from dixons with a 17" monitor and dvd/cdrw for 999

 LOL!
Don't touch Dixons with a ten foot barge pole. I wouldn't trust them with tech support on how to load a VHS cassette, let alone tech support on a PC necessary for work.
Dell are good. Go with them.
I had to buy 10 comps for work about 2 1/2 years ago (PII 350's) and bought Compaq. Not one of them has gone down. Nuff said.
They don't half look boring though!
