Is it as good as you expected?????
I got it and have hardly played on it. The first one is SO much better. The only good thing is the Park Editor but that takes time and it's hard to make a good park by yourself. There's just no point of buying tricks and stats (apart from if your character doesn't have Kickflip to Indy and Benihana :P) it's just a waste of time. The levels are just <censored> and I wish I never bought it! The first one rulz so much, second sux, if 2.5 does come out then I hope it is more like 1......

I disagree mate, 2 has great options like park creater (not that hard to make a good one) and skater creater. The two player modes are great, and its better with the new "2 player free skate"
The levels are big with loads of things to do, lots of secret areas, and lots of gaps.
In career mode There are lots of tasks and it takes ages to complete so it will keep you on it for ages.

1 was very good, but with the huge unrealism (yes i know 2 is as well, but at least you cant pull of 900 backflip-double hardflip in 2...)

They are both really great games but i would have to say 2 is just that little bit better.

Once i rented THPS 2 and i realised the maps are just modified. The first one is just the warehous map with an extra side added, a hidden fan area plus osme grind rails on top of the Vert ramp. Also the miami school map is modified. Actually i found it fun creating my own maps

yeah the first level is the only one that is similar. All the rest are really different.

Slow nic is too damn annoying, it makes it unplayably slow ;(
I wish they had just made it normal slow motion speed not "minute long Ollie" speed ;(

Yeah slow nic is sooooo slow it was ok when i first got it but it just got so boring. Another one i don't like is wireframe, i find it useless

where is the venice beach ledge? i cant find the damn thing and I have to tailslide it.
and i cant get 100 pc on the medal levels either but im sure theres no more money :(

Venic ledge=
grind down the big seaside handrail, and just go over the wall in front of you in aid of the big ramp. Its easy to find from there.

100% on marseille=
Get the money from the level, and then for the rest (this is a secret area) Go to the bit with the trees, and you should see one with a stick propping it up. Just run into that, and let the tree fall. ta da! secret area with money!

The vineice ledge is behind the quater pipe next to the massive 20 set and the seaside handrail. Go on the quater pipe hold up and u get launched over the back wall into an area with 1 of 4 vb transfersand a ledge. Just tailslide that ledge.

There are a few in the horse cr@p that is being left by the bull.

On the big wires above everything (you can get to them by launching off the ramps on the side (you have to go up to the stands))

On the big Banner things. Get one of them by going to those two usless humos that come out of the ground. Us it as a half pipe (hard i know) come down again and go up the other ramp thing opposite it. Press triangle and you should grind on the banner.
To get the other one, go on that weird ramp with the grind thing going across the top of it. Go up, go down, launch up the ramp opposite to it, get high, press triangle, grind, get money.

Okay then, please answer my questions (on TH 1 but you know what I'm on about).

1) How do you get Officer Dick and Spiderman?
2) Is there some kind of decent way to get gold medals, or is it practice?
3) How do you get the 'E' on the Downhill Jam level?
4) I heard that if you clear every gap in the game, you get some kind of special thing. Is this true?
5) I'm getting TH2 on Friday, completely for free. Are you jealous? :P

1) In Tony Hawks 2 you get Officer Dick if you complete the game (100%) with anyone except Tony Hawks (who you get an alternate costume for from when he was a kid) and you get Spider man for completing it with a custom character, in Tony Hawks 1 you can't get Spider Man but I think you can get officer dick just by completing with someone ;)

2) Try finding where some of the good gaps on a level are, also do lots of tricks with grinds and manuals leading into a ramp trick all in 1 combo, mucho pointo ;)

3) On downhill jam you have to spend about 10 seconds going up and down the parralel walls near the end (making sure to land straight and not go through that pupddle thing), when you are going very fast go up the wall that the "E" is next to then jump to the left and hold the grind button, you should land grinding if you jump high enough (I remember it being fairly hard) and you can just grind over the E, have fun getting the secret tape on that level, its a bast ;)

4) In Tony Hawks 2 you get a character called Private Carrera if you do every single gap in the game (not including the 2 secret levels), in Tony Hawks 1 you get nothing for doing all the gaps and as there is no gap list it would be hard to tell how many you still need to do.

5) Not really...
