Uninstalling DirerctX 8

Can it be done? cos i wanna put dx7a back on, cos dont wanna work with my gfx drivers.

and ive looked everywhere for uninstall info, and not found anything. ive also tried installing 7a again, but it sez that it finds a newer version, so it wont install

I believe that there is (somewhere) an uninstall proggy for DX8... but you know what Micro$oft are like when it comes to things like DirectX, it'll be so embedded in your system you'll not be rid of it until you format and reinstall...

Hi there,

Grumpy is right, there is an uninstall utility to remove DX 7 or 8. As far as i know it is available from the MS download site. There is no other way of removing all the DX componants that i know of.
