i think the problem with some of those that try to assist in rookies, is that they either look down upon the rookies, or try to force their help on them (which at times, some of them either don't know how to use comms, or are just content flying around without chatting).
i find if you treat them with the same respect and manner as you would treat your AMa buddies and squadron-mates, and generally offer help, ask if anyone has any questions or anything air attack related that's bugging them, you'll get quite a lot of business to contend with...
as for 'losing your rag' and then starting to shoot them, i mean, sheesh. it's called patience, and is essential to any pilot, especially when dealing with rookies. (i'm not perfect, i've been known to outburst at my own squadron in match, which i deeply regret.) how are rookies supposed to respect, trust and listen to your advice, when you're shooting at them?
ROOKIES ARE PEOPLE TOO!
or something.

LOL...Told u gryf..:(
as for myself...i do exactly that...when i enter the arena, the first thing i say is"GOOD EVENING ROOKIES,A.A.I.C HERE TO HELP".......DOES ANYONE REQUIRE HELP,HINTS,TIPS ON AA"......"DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK WE ARE HERE TO HELP"
And to be honest, that works for me,usually get a good response from the rookies, but i think u will always get the fools...i never look down on them, just remember i was there once and wish there was some kind of aaic or aaw then, had to learn the hard way by entering ffa,and asking questions myself on how they could turn so fast, and pleading with ppl to take it easy on me...rofl.
I beleive seriously that we are getting through to some of the rookies...for some reason they see us as admin, dont know why,i personally havent put that idea into there head, but surely that aint a bad thing, aslong as we dont get dilusions of granduar and start thinking we something we aint, then i cant see the harm...all its doing is keeping ppl in check and the unruly element on there guard.
Some of them get a bit high and mighty when you tell them that ramming is a no no etc and they say yeah it doesnt say that in the CoC so i then have to go in as a rank instead of cdt and act all hard and admin like.
Well give a few rules and stuff via the admin tools.
They usually start bombarding me with questions then so if any one wants admin assistance while doing AAW/AAIC work then feel free to ask any of us, im sure it only needs a few minutes and once they know you are 'official' then they will take notice
or ill boot them :naughty:

I thank you gentlemen for your input
I wasn't happy yesterday but I have slept since, well what else is work for, and I guess I have calmed down a bit
What happened yesterday is typical of the situation at the moment.
I went in and gave the old AAIC here ne 1 want some help
Had the normal fun until 1 or 2 started wining about high level(lol my d&d coming in there) ppl in. ie when i didnt die when shot nor do anything entertaining like blow up
That went away when i explained, then loads of em start rwing and ramming me fffs that irritates me normally much more so when parked OFF the rw.
Thats when I lost it a bit, believe me had they been ama they would have been dealt with the same way. Then Freeedom fighter Joined and it got a bit more messy.
Sorted it out after 15 mins but it spoiled a fun evening hence the winge.
Sorry for stirring things again
