FIFA2001 on Win2K

Has anyone managed to get FIFA2001 running properly on Win2k in software mode?

I know the release notes says it doesn't work very well but there has to be a way.. I only ask this as I play it in work sometimes on my laptop against colleagues - unfortunately it only lasts about 5 mins before crashing :(

proper computer?! this is a 500mhz p3 with half a gig of ram running 2k adv server! :P

guess I'll stick a small win98 partition on there
