Ive been playing C.S for about the last 2 months without any problems whats so ever.But for about the last week or so i keep getting diconnected from servers after game has downloaded and i start playing. Ive tried re-installing all programs C.S & H.Life etc but the problem still persists. Im running C.S 1.0 and H.Life 1.104 any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.s For some unknown reason a couple of people have commented that i am running the speed cheat but ive never downloaded or know how to use it, could this be the problem?

yes i think it's to do with the speed cheat patch. for reasons known only to the almighty (or padstar..who ever replys to this post first:E )it keeps kicking people who don't have the cheat installed, out to console :bigcry:


just have to wait for the patch to fix the patch which fixes the cheat i'm afraid:laugh:

Hi,

Well, there has been a patch put onto the servers to deal with the speed cheat, so if you have got it then thats why it aint working...........

If you are SURE you havent, then is your dail up connection ok ? seeing problems with any other online stuff ?

Cheers Flying nun... i knew there was a patch problem, but not the symptoms as im no longer at work. Stikky has downgraded the patch today anyhow as far as i know, so in theory, if that was causing the problem, it should be ok now.

The problem seemed to be in the way it looked out for people using the speed cheat.

Normally whenever someone lags they tend to move a little faster to catch up with the flow of the game. The speed cheat patch has been translating this as us cheating (as we're moving faster than technically we should.

Unfortunatly for those of us without broadband connections this meant that we get kicked off whenever our connection goes to pot.

Fortunatly though, the patch has been removed, which means we can stay in the game... although we do have to start watching out for cheats again...
