Sorry but FIFA 2001 is easily one of the WORST games out!!

It is such a massive disapointment to me as I love nearly all the other fifa games (apart from fifa all stars which was easily the worst football game ever):mad: :mad:

The gameplay is worse than in that champions league game.:eek: :eek: :eek:

If I had the chance to go back in time I would not buy this game! I wish I hadnt wasted my £28 on this crap and would of bought the game voice instead.

Im just praying to god that FIFA 2002 does not use the same sort of style otherwise it looks like I'll never be playing Fifa games again :cry: :cry: :cry:

apart from Euro 2000 and Fifa 2000 which are the best games out!! :D

Worst football games for pc are.

1 Fifa All Stars
2 Fifa 2001
3 Official Champions league game
4 Actua soccer 3

Even football games like SUPER SOCCER and KICKOFF for the old SNES are better than FIFA 2001 for the pc.

I obviously haven't played the game as much as you;), but I like it. There's a few things I think could have been done better, but I could say the same thing about any game sitting on my shelf. To say it's worse than Champions League and Actua Soccer 3 is harsh IMO, they were terrible.

Part of the problem as I see it is EAs policy of tweaking the game every year and re-releasing it, they add new bits but take away some bits you liked in previous versions. Maybe they've taken the current engine as far as they can go and should start with a clean slate for the next one, but we all know that's unlikely.

I know you can score with ease if you know the right places to shoot from, as you've demonstrated playing against me, but it makes for an entertaining game;) and most footy games suffer from the same problem.

I'm probably just biased because I've been waiting for a decent footy game that can be played online since AS2 was released just over 3 years ago and multiplayer is one of my main considerations when buying a game.

I'm not that interested in Fifas single player game, except for some practice, I always find their inch pefect tackles and phsychic AI abilities on harder levels annoying, but that's always been the case. At least now I can pit myself against some real opponents and lose to them instead:E.

erm im not the only one who thinks this.....

a couple of the people ive played have also said its sh*t too.... and 1 of them is even on the ladder.

The only reason i bought Fifa 2001 was because of the WP ladder/League thingy.....

Usually I buy fifa games as soon as they come out but after euro 2000 game i knew it could not really get any better....so i didnt buy fifa 2001.


If you had every football game and there was a multiplayer internet option on all of them then fifa 2001 would hardly get played at all.... everyone would play either fifa 2000 or Euro 2000.

As for fifa 2001 I will probably continue on the ladder etc....but This whole post is just my opinion and im not saying im never playing the game again.

I agree Dennis that it's a **** game,but i took Chas on in a couple of games tonight and i never laughed so much,was spliting me sides when he failed to score in a 10 second mad rush where he hit the post,then my keeper made a great save,then i cleared it off line,thats what sets it apart when you can play ya m8's with there Rushden & Diamonds via Lazio lineup's,i've not quite found the sweet spots,but in earlier versions there where easy to spot.
