You guys being into this still probably know, but if not I thought I'd post a link to get excited.

I used to work for them a few years back but our parting was NOT ammicable. :E
Anyway enough about my past LOL!! This is the first piece of news to get me interested again after about 4-5 years.
Will they cock it up?
Hopefully not if they make the product with the older gamer in mind as well.....it could be huge!
As long as the models are good for paiting then I'll be a happy chappy. :) (As long as they do not cost the earth!!)
:monkee:
Well, looks to be good, hope it is.
Wonder what it will be like?

Probably be the usual formula of kiddie game with poo-hot models......I can always dream it won't be though!!
Come on GW start making some more advanced front line games again!
There's no denying Priestly (arrogant Twonk) can write great games but GW took far too much depth out of the games for my liking. Then again being my main hobby years ago and working for them probably took the shine off!!!

WEll most of warhammer was a rip off of tolkiens works anyway, good that they are kinda makeing it official now tho :|
Warhammer is not a rip off of Tolkien, ever noticed how most fantasy stuff is so similar? Coz they all got the ideas from mythology, & medieval stuff, besides, who cares who nicked whose ideas anyway? I doesn't really matter. I've not read Lord or the Rings btw, only The Hobbit, took ages as well, & LOTR is bigger!

:)
Good look with the game by the way . :D
Actually warhammer is pretty much ripped off talkien, while the ideas may have existed in mythology already tolkien was the first person to bring them together and formalise them, the original warhammer was largly based on his idea but over the years GW have added lots of bits from whatever part of history takes theier fancy and what is needed to make the warhammer world as close to our own in terms of geographical thingies(ie the germanic area had it's greatest power in the reniesance(the empire) while france had it's biggest influence with the normam knights(bretonians).

Nah! If we are going to get into specifics the likes of TSR formalised the worlds before Games Workshop! Games Workshop took from TSR who themselves took from other sources such as Tolkien.
Too say they are "ripped off" is not fair as they were used as an influence, that's all. "Ripped off" is far too broad a generalisation IMO.
You are probably correct i suppose, if Gw had actually ripped of anything then just about every game and fantasy writer would be in court sueing each for nicking each other's ideas.
