Momentum's eagerly awaited Terminator 2: Ultimate Edition has been put back to October. The 2-disc set has been subject to frequent delays ever since it was first announced last year. Frankly, given the complicated authoring requirements we're not surprised at the news but even so it's sure to come as a serious blow to fans expecting the disc on April 23.
Still there's some consolation. MGM's superb special edition of The Terminator (1984) is still on schedule and will hit UK shops on March 19 priced at £19.99.
More bad news...

We've heard from a source at Momentum that the eagerly awaited Terminator 2: Ultimate Edition may not contain the alternate cuts of the film that are available on the Region 1 disc using a technique known as seamless branching.
Instead it seems as though the alternate/extra footage will only be available in the form of deleted scenes on the disc. Momentum were unable to give us an explanation for this beyond the news that the UK version is being supervised by James Cameron and DVD producer Van Ling. Maybe they know what's going on!
This news is bound to come as a severe blow to UK fans many of whom will now simply abandon any ideas of waiting until the UK October release and order the Region 1 version instead. Can you blame them?
