Apparently there are just 11 known bugs left to fix as of this weekend. Also the creature has no limit to what he can learn presumably as long as it can be done in the game the creature can do it as well.

And best of all the game is more dependent on the Graphics card than on the cpu.

Engage newbie pessimism: Yeah, but I bet they're the hardest bugs to fix :(

But anyway, that's great news. Apart from the graphics card bit. My graphics card is pants compared to my CPU. Dammit.

Ive just upgraded to a Geforc2 2 MX which is pretty good value for money at about £100. I have been playing Giants and Hitman with all the graphics options turned on and it runs damn well. Even though my machine is only a p2 266.

I have also installed the dancing bear and if the game looks anything near as good I will be happy :)

I'm running a TNT2 M64 with an Athlon o/ced to 1Ghz so you can see why I'd prefer the CPU to matter more. Then again, as memory prices are so good at the moment I've just added another 128Meg DIMM. Think that'll make up for the graphics?

Why would you worry about processor performance with that sort of processing speed.

I'm not worried about the processor, just worried that the graphics card might let the game down.

falo - I should think your graphics card is strangling the performance of any new game you play at the moment. My Voodoo 3000 was capping the performance significantly with my P3 650, and that was a year ago!!

I was thinking that, but I'd prefer to spend £30 on B&W rather than inesting in a new card right now. I might get a new one with TV Out when I get a DVD ROM drive.

That maybe so, but it is the candy. With FS2000 the game is CPU dependant, so I can run my ultra with everything on, and not suffer more than 0.1 drop in fps. Action games on the other hand are more graphic card limited.
