First off...
I think their needs to be another class or two...
like say, Military...Cops....or Hellhounds....Werewolfes...
But thats not what I'm focusing in on here

Equiped like their going to shoot ducks...
Pretty damn slow...
Pretty Useless in a dark area...(with no flashlights)

(suggestion)
maybe take away the mp5(cause most priest do NOT have them), keep the shotty, add the .357 or a .45, and maybe like some explosive you could make at home... say Molotov?
or... like in broken arrow... those Jerry Cans that blew up.
Make them to be the ONLY ones able to swim in water
Thinking of Quake... :p Nail Gun-Nails+Stakes ?

(Vampires)
I dont have to much to say but I will say this
Should have like Torches or... Infra-Red vision
they should also have another ability... I think they should be able to like put a curse on a Slayer if they can hold them in their sights for 5 seconds or so...
like, make them go numb... (dark out the screen and stop players movment, or just black out)

Nice idea, I actually suggested this sort of thing to Routetwo at the pub some months ago. Kinda cool, thing is do the vamps need any more help atm?

Don't think i've played much as a vamp yet, all the way through beta testing I preferred the slayers, though I'm sure the shotty damage has gone down slightly since then as a double barrel and a staking was an extremely effective manouevre back then.

I think a quick firing pistol would fit in with the theme more than an mp5, but would it be as useful? (I say make it really quick firing and have a lightning reload)

i don't know about werewolfs.... on the one hand its the vampire mod.... but on the other it might add another dimension to the game :)

but it might also get routetwo taken to court by the owners of buffy the vampire slayer :P

well , i just got the mod and i love it , but it would be nice to see the vamp's with a nightvision of sorts . I mean after all they are vampires .
And a priest class would be cool if he acted in a manor such as a medic with healing powers and prayers .

Here's one last thought , a clove neckalace that would act as an inhibitor to the vamp's , like armor but it 1/2's the vampires attacking power , what do you think ?

Uh...I really don't recall vampires having nightvision in any mythology I've seen lately...

I think Vampire mythology usually just has the them having better senses all round, eyesight, hearing etc.

Kinda why they have quiet footsteps in VS. The net effect is that Vamps can hear Slayers, but Slayers can't hear Vamps.

Well im new to vs , but i grew up watching horror flicks , reading comics , books, etc you get the idea , and grimblade2k , do you honestly think something that carouses in the dark is as blind (forgive me) as a bat.......... I have been reading posts about wall crawling and i know its not in the cards unless it's vampire specific spots (ladders) but man tower campers on vs_castle , either ask the mappers to add them or remove the towers , it's really irratating to wait a round out because some ass is sitting up there and wont come down and i'll be damned if im going up there and get crossbowed 2 steps up the ladder.

Okay, suggestions. First off:

Slayers:
They need more weapons. Pistols, akimbo prefered.
Explosives. A sapper class would be interesting.
MedKits, Nuff said. (Medic class would be too clunky, just have every one carry a stadered issue. Then give one guy a and edge in the medical department.)
The woman (her name escapes me at the moment) needs a sniper rifle. The cross bow is cool, but a true bolt action would be cool. Need more classes, intersting ideas would be:
Heavy Weapondry:
Give him a BAR and a big ol' elephant rifle. Don't need to make him slow really, that's an old and tried staple.

Sapper:
Akimbo .45's and a ruck sack full of grenaids. Maybe a couple of trip mines.


Vamps:
Vampires with flash lights? I understand this is just beta 1 and you were kinda crunched on time. (I think) But the Vapms should have a heat vision thing, or a sonar vision. (Or both) For sonar, just have the screen flush gray and see lick it was a bright room. Like night vison.. but sonar... yeah...
And curses would be cool like that one guys who's name I forgot said. Other than that I can't think of any thing. I'm sure I'll be back to bitch at you later. Good job over all tho.

(No, I didn't check the spelling I never do, sorry. Live with it)

well i wanna see mor visual stuff. like in dod the catchy words. "tastes like chicken" and a catchy phraze from the slayers. when a vampire kills the slayer his heart is in his hand vampire can eat it. Not sure if you could code something like that. I like the mod the way it is. I like the heat vision. I also like the idea of a vampire turning the slayer into a vampire....just a thought.
