umm, mapping question...

Is it possible using the VS entities to create a trigger_hurt that will affect a vampire only??

i.e., if i made a map set in daylight, and the vamp went outside, i could kill the vamp as if he was in the light.

or do i use a game_player_hurt? its just i dunno what the target name to use to specify the vampire is :|

Funny you should mention it, but we're working on it, Slayer is doing a map with sunlight in it and I'm doing the code. A new fgd will be posted when it's done. But I'm fixing the v1.0 bugs first and map bugs.

Oh yeah, and I meant to mention the only reason this wasn't in the first release was that I felt camping tart slayers would just stay in the sunlight... but if it only did a small amount of damage that would be ok.

brock, i dont think its possible to do a sideways veiw like that coffin thing, i think its what screwed one of the many matrix mods :|

on the next fgd, im assuming the sunlight hurt thing will use the same setup as an info_player_hurt? i.e. u can choose the type of damage inflicted? so in sunlight they have a slow burn? would it also be possible to have a conveyer push the vamp only, away from crosses/garlic/holy things etc?

sounds good but just a point in Films, Buffy etc sunlight is instant kill so maybe you should make yer maps with lots of shadows and then the vampires stick to them

like on church that ray of sunlight would kil them ya see?

Strictly in the context of Buffy, that's not true.

Vampire's are `flammable` in sunlight...they don't just die instantly. Spike's arm was once just touching sunlight...it set on fire, but he put it out with water, and survived.
