What do you lot think of having an FLF-style energy bar for the vampire leap. To stop them rushing so much? Maybe three leaps then they're out of energy until it charges up again?

I'm fed up with running backwards spraying bullets at a bunch of bouncy vampires.

Vampires in VS are very quiet, but the leap sound gives them away, I thought that may stop the overuse of leaping! But alas not..

well every vs movie or show they can get hit by bullets and keep coming. They all can fly. The jumping is one of my favorites. Dont take away my only escape.

my 1 idea:
when a vampire takes a slayer life - slayer is know a vampire

that changing into a vamp idea isn't very good cos you'd get someone to get a vamp to kill em straight away so it is easier for them...

and stam bar aint right for this type of mod i think

Thats a great idea. Anything to reduce the vampire's advantage.

if the stam bar didn't run out after a stupid amount of jumps e.g. 3, like in the other mods, then i suppose it would be quite good... but if that did happen then it would be so hard for the vamps to catch up with the slayers

yea i think brockens right say about 8-10 jumps and they have to rest/feed to get it back

Both Firearms and Frontline Force use a similar method...but FLF's only affects jumping, and it works pretty damn well.

Would certainly make the Slayers' lives a lot easier...

i really don't like the idea :|

give the vamps an alternative..... atm, if a vamp sees a slayer and the slayer runs away, its the only way for a vamp to catch up.... also, if a vamp is suddenly confronted by 5 slayers.... its his only method of escape that is of any affect.

How about leaving out the stamina bar... and making the vamps move faster :)

I've only had one decent game so I'm not exactly qualified to comment much but it involved sitting on a roof, the last man alive normally, and 8-10 hopping, leaping, pogo-stick frenzied vamps leaping around the place..
for a HPB like me it's very frustrating, got one straight off with the crossbow...(fluke :E) but with the really slow reload and only about 6 shots I was stuffed.
8 vamps? jumping around like it's vindaloo night at a space hopper convention...???
I expected the game to be a tense and frightening game of cat and mouse, hunting and stalking but with 10 vamps on the server it just became a little silly.
There is no way to snipe and hunt, the MP5 doesn't do a lot and staking them is impossible as you don't have time to get individuals when you have an army bounding after you.
Is there a method of play that escapes me?
Hopping...sorry, hoping to try it again soon...

If you were the last CT against 10 T's you wouldn't expect to win that fight either, so I'm not changing it to make Slayers super-human. If the Slayers stick together and work together you can put up a decent fight. I'm not saying the balance is perfect though, just want to keep it in proportion.

maybe increase vamps normal running speed, and have a stamina bar, like the FLF 1.

that way, the vamps could catch up with a running slayer, yet not just be able to jump around all over the place.

and it would require more skill for the vamps, to use their jumps wisely, like when chasing a slayer.

then again, then slayers can always bunny hop :E
