This is the GeForce II MX that's winning in comparative benchmarks with 32MB RAM, 183MHz memory clock (faster than the OEM version which has 166MHz memory clock), 4X AGP with Fast Writes / AGP 2X compatible. Tbreak.com had this to say about it - "The 3D Prophet II MX with its 128bit SDR outperformed the 64bit DDR based Creative GeForce MX in every benchmark. What this tells us that the 128bit path is more important than a 64bit path- period."

So i take it this is a good card, answer's on a post card

I think the difference of "outperformed" as opposed to the difference of "this is a faster card" is smaller than the eye of a needle

don't fall for it

DDR will have some aspects that beat a 128bit wide SDR memory addressing system and some that don't

again, it's all what you want to pay

I have a tnt2 ultra, is it worth paying for an MX??

Probably not just yet. When more games make real use of its features, such as T&L it will be worth upgrading. But It might also be worth waiting to the price of higher spec Geforce 2 cards, such as the GTS, come down.

With an Mx at £60ish then yes defanatly get one (unless u got more money then get a GTS), it will be a big improvement over your TNT2 (especially on openGL as it uses the hardware T&L automatically).
