I have recently upgraded my motherboard, and found everything worked apart from my PS/2 Mouse. I plugged it in as normal, and windows autodetected it. Everything seemed great untill a program loaded and I moved my mouse. When I did this the mouse went crazy - moving to all corners of the screen left clicking and right clicking. I have no idea why this happens! My Serial mouse also doesn't work properly. It moves up and down perfectly, but is extremely slow at moving right, and a little faster (but still slow) at moving left.

Please help is poss :|

You know something... I had the very same problem recently. It made UT really funny yet stupid at the same time. People wondered why I was spinning on the spot, trying to fry my feet. And I was lucky to be using an insta rifle... :)

My mouse just went crazy at random intervals. I eventually dug out an older PS/2 mouse and now I am fine.

I'm not sure that your mouse is physically damaged like I am sure my one is (that was a Mitsumi Classic Mouse), but there's always a chance. I hope it's not the case for you.

As for the serial mouse... pass.
