i just wondered which commentaries would rate as best and worst

some of my faves:-
fight club
american beauty
ghostbusters
i also listened to an hour of steven soderberghs commentary on out of sight and i thought it was very good

worst:-
tim burton on edward scissorhands- for a start he hardly says anything leaving huge gaps between speech and when he does he mumbles and trails off. very disappointing for an excellent film

The Alien commentary is very informative. You get a lot out of Ridley.

The MiB MST3k commentary looks like it might be okay, if the image portion weren't jumping abput all over the place (you see a sillhouette of Tommy Lee Jones and Barry Sonnenfeld at the bottom of the screen, but it doesn't work properly on my Hollywood+)

Both Finchers and Scotts commentarys are always good
Seven
Fight Club
Alien
Gladiator

All very interesting.
I got JFK special ed. last week and if the Oliver Stone commentary on the extras disc is anything to go by the full three and a half hour job should be good.

Most original and funny has to be Cannibal The Musical, it's the two creators and three of the stars and several bottles of scotch.Almost as funny as the movie itself.
