Not quite. Black & White has not, in fact, Gone Gold this morning, as a few other B&W news sites have reported. Instead, the latest release candidate has been submitted for final testing. This has been confirmed by GoneGold (somewhat of a final authority on the subject) and the Adrenaline Vault.

Thanks to everyone who sent in word on this one, but you're jumping the gun just a bit, buckets. Have some patience-- good things come to those who wait. If this release candidate makes it through final testing, the process of CD duplication (i.e., actually 'going gold') could begin sometime early next month.

I am a tad concerened. I saw a picture from the lionhead web cam clearly showing PM showing a sign saying done.

We have been here before. Surely if this is not the start of the glod process then they should not have said anything.

I hope the gold process has begun. I was under the impression something went gold when the game was complete and the final image was created not when the duplication process started.

When a game "goes gold" it means that it is off to be duplicated. It's been sent off to EA for testing. Once theyre done testing it, it will "Go Gold" and will be duplicated. This should take around 2-3weeks.

I really dont think EA will need to do much testing at all, lionhead are the perfectionists here not EA. If PM says 'done' its done, i reckon we will see it mid march..

But Lionhead said it was done 3 weeks ago and sent it to EA............who then found 375 bugs.........they might find more:(............hopefully it should go gold sometime next week if EA find no bugs:)
