Well the number of mods in a given forum is decided by the level of traffic. The Q3 forum as an example has 4 mods with a post level of about 200+ per day. This forum probably has about 30-40 posts per day max atm, so only really needs 1 mod to cover that.

Once the game is out and the level of traffic picks up considerabley then the mod situation may have to be looked at again. And people who ask to be mods usually don't get to be one unless there's a good reason. Usually they're picked because they contribute to a forum a lot and are half sensible.
