Just started mapping with worldcraft 2.6 i think got 3.xsomewhere but i want 2 know how u do the level description and credits bit(when u choose ur side i think it is) and also if u can do cs levels with 2.6(i wanna know ,so don`t say use 3.x)i got the cs expert fgd but when i first put it in it came up with error messages like....error not a viable..blah..blah....kind of thing but i still got a map in early stages im working on.

3.1 has much much MUCH MUCH MUCH! better texture aligning and mapping and well its just better.

and the fgd prolly only works with 3.1

doesnt it make sense to have the latest version?

btw, credits/map description. Simply create a text file the same name as the .bsp, look in your cstrike/maps directory and copy the ones that other mappers have already done.

How to use a 'map parameters' entity or whatever its called to choose which team etc. Im sure the official cs site has info on what to do.

btw its wc3.3 not 3.1 and its better to use it cause some maps become non compatible for some reason unlees you export and import them from .map. Only thing is it crashes more if you dont have at least 128+mb of ram.

go to HERC and get it along with some decent beginners tuts...

Also don't compile with WC, its crap for compiling, use batch files or a front end compiler like ZHT and use zoners tools aswell...

thx people,i`ll dig out w3.3 already got zoners compile stuff already and i think ill just use a batch file to compile it,as for the ram would it be better to put in more ram but slower(spare stick lying around thats why i ask)and what was the opengl buiseness with w3.3,my graphics card don`t support it and i don`t want to make a map then have something catastrophic happen and lose it.
