So why should I install Linux...?

Are you interested in learning to program, systems administration, web servers, how computers work etc? If yes then you need linux.

Are you interested in playing 3D games and typing documents? If so you should stick with windows.

Linux is much more stable with windows and much more fun if you like tinkering with your PC (the amount of stuff you can do with it is astounding) - it's also the ultimate learning tool if you want to do l33t stuff with PCs.

Yeah what Skunk said basically :) it really helps you to understand fully how the pc thinks and works, and the amount of tinkering is unbelievable - heaven!

also, there is so much more choice with linux - configuring your window manager is so much fun! i been through so many setups that i loved and now i find my true dream :)

another cool thing about linux and open source is the community - everyone is always willing to lend a hand, so many community projects to be involved with and the quality of the software it produces
