Hi, I keep hearing about this half-life game, so I thought I'd buy it. However, on searching around I find umpteen different versions.
Initially I want to play it as a one-player game, so which version do I want? Also my PC is a PII-366 based Toshiba laptop, so not really designed for gaming (I normally game on my trusty N64 with Perfect Dark). I have 128Mb memory but only a lowly 2Mb graphics card. Win98 if that helps.
Thanks
Jackie

erk, 2mb Graphics card, I don't think Half-Life will run on that ;(

Anyways..

- Online multiplayer options to play Half-Life Deathmatch

Team Fortress Classic
Comes with Half-Life although it's just an online multiplayer "mod".

Opposing Force
New Game
- Single Player ( continues from original Half-Life story )
- Online multiplayer options to play Opposing Force Deathmatch
- Online multiplayer options to play Opposing Force Capture The Flag

Counter Strike
- You can download this or buy it ( when you buy it you don't need half-life to run it. The downloadable one works if you have half-life on your system
- An online multiplayer game ONLY

These are the main things / games / mods in the Half-Life community. Although there are more, they are not played as much.

Yea I missed it out... but from past experience the game is so crap that the only thing good about it was the level background sound effects ( although I only played the first release ) ... ah well..

"and 'Day Of Defeat' "

Thanks very much m8, the problem is our community is at a standstill because we just simply dont have the server space, more specificaly a clan server, so perhaps if we could just "steal" one of yours that would be okay?
