Halflife: CS v's TF

Hi there...

I want the opinion of someone who plays both versions...
Which is better Team fortress or counter strike... If anyone can enlighten me as to the answer I would be gratefull. And I know its a matter of tastes and stuff, its just that I play team fortress and I think its brilliant, I just want to know is it worth going through the hassle for counter strike....

Personally I think TF is naff and CS owns.. but as you said, and you'll expect.. this is my own personal opinion..

I think the main thing about CS that the small majority of people hate is the fact it's hard to move when your being shot and when your dead you gotta fly around the map watching the two remaining people to kill themselves so you can get on with your game.... but TRUST ME, IT DOES GROW ON YOU and you learn not to care :)

My opinion : Give it a shot :D

Just to bring in an opinion on the other side of the coin.
I've played CS for about 6 months and I now find it repetitive and boring. I played TF quite a bit but never got into it due to how difficult it is for newbies to work out what they're doing :)

However I've perserved and now I know what I'm doing, but I'm still useless at it, its great fun tho, having different classes performing different jobs allows the game to be a lot less repetitive. Overall tho, just to be awkward, I my favourite Half Life mod is FireArms which is wicked World War 2 Style mod :D

I like CS cos of its one shot one kill realism.

But I like TF(type games) because of their team work and general CTF type genre.

With HL .. you get the chance to try both for FREE

I like CS, but i find TFC morew interesting as the guns are more high-powered and although it may not be as realistic, i love it :D

Another good mod to play would be Day of Defeat, its a world war 2 sim with the allies versus the axis. Its got realistic weapons and gameplay worth a try :)

It depends on personal preference really -

Counter-Strike is much harder to get used to - more skill involved

Team Fortress Classic - Nice tempo, don't have to buy things :) But you get real llama snipers that rob grenade packs and shoot their own team

apart from that, erm CS is probably the better of the two - But most ppl start playingoff tfc and move onto cs and I'm rambling a bit aint i?
