I'm after a bot of some kind - ideally a learning bot or saaain easily programmed - which I can use to demonstrate some e-commerce ideas I have for some coursework.
Any suggestions? I've surfed about a bit but the majority seem to be Unix/Linux based :{
Indeed they are, i noticed that :[ Are there any Windows bots about ?
Dw2k will help j00 tho i expect :D
I cant think of owt off the top of meh head, but you can quite easily knock together an app in summat like visual basic that can use irc, so maybe just write yer own app to do the job?

Yes, yes u can do a Vb bot, talk to Ferg about it, as he has one :)
The only other thing is to use a Windrop (*shudder*) as it runs on windows servers unlike eggdrop which uses Linux/Unix :)
There's dozens of the things. There are bots which work by using mIRC and scripting it heavily to act as a bot (they're a bit dodgy) and fully featured bots as well.
I've got a prety good one at work - I'll post the URL tomorrow.

Stars the bunch of ya :)
I was worried I might have to come back and start a new thread without the dreaded W word in the title, just to keep you open-source monkees happy :P
WinBot isn't bad - nothing on eggdrops of course but if you're stuck on a legacy operating system (;)) it might be worth a go:
